Yasuhiro Ishimoto (1921-2012) was a Japanese photographer borned in San Francisco.
He studied photography at Chicago Institute of Design (also known as The New Bauhaus Chicago) in 1948 to 1952.
After Ishimoto got acquired the nationality of Japan in 1969, he moved his base to Japan.
In Japan, he worked at Tokyo University of Art and Design as the chairperson in Photography Department.
Ishiguro’s photographs has both a sense of beauty and forming sense and his art has had a impact to the world.
“Chicago, Chicago” is a selected collection of photographs that printed the views of Chicago city photographed by Ishimoto in 1960 to 1962.
He depicted his favorite city in impressive black and white color.
